Anna Kate Jones Ray passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2025 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1939 to the late Rev. Clyde Jones and the late Panola Henson Jones in Chalybeate Springs, AL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby, sisters Laconia Terry, Zora Lee Hale, Geneva Hayes, her brothers, Leonard, and Lloyd Jones, and 4 Great- Grandchildren.
Survivors include: 3 Sons, Joe Ray (Beth), Danny Ray, and Freddie Ray of Decatur. 3 Daughters, Vanessa Cofield (David), Vickie Cantrell, and Shirley White of Decatur. Sister, Cindy Baxter of Tennessee. 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter and Nathan James officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Moulton, AL. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Nathan James, Robert Roden, Jonathon Roden, Josh McMunn, Eric White. Matthew White, and Hershell Brown.
