Anna Jean Ritzenthaler Anna Jean Ritzenthaler (née Floyd), age 86, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in McMinnville, Tennessee. Born on February 21, 1939, in Water Valley, Mississippi, Anna was the cherished daughter of Leroy and Eunice Floyd.

A devoted and faithful member of the Church of Christ throughout her life, Anna’s love for God and dedication to studying His word were central to her being. She found great joy in attending special hymn sings at church, where she could worship through song and fellowship with others who shared her faith.

Anna was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her brother James (Martha) Floyd; her sister-in-law Virginia Floyd; her sons James Ritzenthaler Jr., Benjamin Ritzenthaler, and Eric Ritzenthaler; her daughter Eunice DeHaven Smith; as well as 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness. Anna was predeceased by her husband, James Ritzenthaler; her parents, Leroy and Eunice Floyd; and her brother Dr. Harvey Lee Floyd.

Anna had a passion for life that shone through in everything she did. She loved to read, garden, and socialize with those around her. Her thoughtful nature was evident in the way she kept in touch with loved ones—whether through heartfelt phone calls or sending cards to remind them they were appreciated. Her ability to make others feel valued was a testament to the depth of her caring spirit.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Anna’s legacy of love and faith will live on through the lives she touched. May her memory bring peace to all who knew her.

Her family will be having a Celebration of Life gathering on April 04, 2026, at 01:00 PM at Arlington Church of Christ 2500 Faulkner Road McMinnville, TN 37110.
