Ann Myers Redus, 84, peacefully passed away on March 13, 2022. She was born in Canton, MS in 1938 to Albert and Grace Myers. While attending Rhodes College Ann met Jerry Redus and moved with him to Huntsville, AL after they were married. After working for a few years as a teacher, Ann changed her career to be a stay-at-home mother, where she invested her time and energy in taking care of her family and friends. As a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Ann initiated a lay pastor program and enjoyed singing in the choir. She also dedicated time to volunteering in several Huntsville charitable organizations and at her children’s schools. She loved the outdoors and, over the course of twenty years, hiked much of the Appalachian Trail with friends. In retirement, she and Jerry enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Following the death of Jerry in 2015, Ann moved to a retirement community in Gainesville, GA so she could be closer to her daughters and their families. She was blessed to spend her final hours engaged in her favorite endeavors – participating in a church service and spending time with her family. Ann is survived by her son, Bob and his wife, Anita, their son Aaron, their son Jonathan and his wife Susan, and her great grandson, William; her daughter, Beth and her husband, Sean, and his son, Brandon; her daughter, Meg and her wife April, and their sons, Eric and Adam; her brother, Al Myers, his children, and his grandchildren; and the children and grandchildren of her sister, Mary McMillan. On Saturday March 26, 2022, visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., immediately followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Ala. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children (www.phfc.org) or Heifer International (www.heifer.org).
