Funeral service for Mrs. Ann Gardner Eady, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at The Rock church with Rev. Elmore Torbert officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery. Mrs. Eady passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Donalson Care Center.
Mrs. Eady was a native of Blanche, TN, the daughter of the late Claude S. and Lorean Rowe Gardner. She was a professional career educator for Lincoln County, a member of the Home Demonstration Club, the Garden Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Board, Treasurer for the Lincoln County Fair Association and a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Stephanie Eady Britt of Fayetteville, TN, son Frederick L. Eady of Florida, sister Faye Stewart of Nashville, TN, brother Stokely Gardner of Austin, TX, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Eady.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
