Anita Denise Dixon Montgomery of Collinwood, TN was born October 28, 1966 in Tuscumbia, AL, the daughter of Teddy Earl and Martha Sue Morris Dixon of Collinwood, TN, who survive. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey E. Montgomery on January 4, 2006. Mrs. Montgomery was a production worker in the automotive industry, was a member of the Shawnettee Church, Collinwood, Tennessee and was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. She departed this life on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at her home at the age of 55 Years, 10 Months, 7 Days after an extended illness. Other than her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey E. Montgomery, Sr., Collinwood, TN; sons, Kaleb Clark (Mckaylin), Collinwood, TN; stepsons, Dylan Montgomery and Mikel Montgomery both of Lawrenceburg, Jeffrey Montgomery, Jr., Pulaski, TN and Jackson Montgomery (Baylee), Collinwood, TN; daughters, Amanda Daniels (Nick), Nashville, TN and Kerri Price (Brent), Memphis, TN; step-daughters, Cayla Donaldson, Lawrenceburg, TN and Chloe Montgomery (Allison), Savannah, TN; grandchildren, Ella Price, Clark Daniels, Kason Clark, Raelyn Clark, Maebri Clark, Landon Price and Jenson Daniels; step-grandchildren, Paisley Wilbanks and Marley Montgomery; brother, Boyce Dixon (Glenda), Collinwood, TN.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Coy Hallmark officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11 am to service time at the funeral home.
Because she was a Tennessee Vols fan, Anita’s family would like everyone attending the memorial services to celebrate her life by wearing casual clothing representing Tennessee orange.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be given to the Collinwood Quarterback Club, PO Box 73, Collinwood, TN 38450.
