Anita Carol Elrod age 76 of Athens, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Elrod was born June 23, 1941 to William Clarence Bailey and Rosie May Bowers Bailey.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 2:00 p.m., at Reunion Cemetery with Eddie Littrell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Preceded in death by her parents.
Survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles C. Elrod of Athens; one daughter, Cynthia Martin and husband, John of Athens; one son, Glen Elrod and wife, Terry; four grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Kayla Martin, Cory Elrod and Lydia Elrod; one great-granddaughter, Kandyce Rogers.
Mrs. Elrod liked to cook, bake, and play the piano and guitar. She enjoyed family gatherings and caring for her family.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Martin, Cory Elrod, Robin Hopkins, Jonathan Lambert, Anthony Elrod and James Bobo.
