 Anita Bushnell, age 68, resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at her residence.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 1pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Yerks officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11am until the service hour at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Anita was born in Burnwell, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Cecil Hodge and the late Betty Smith Hodge. She retired from K-Mart and enjoyed working with stained glass. She also enjoyed refinishing furniture and singing. Above all, she loved being a housewife and spending time with her family.

 

She is survived by her husband: Charles Bushnell of Columbia; daughters: Heather Danielle Hendry of Columbia, Robyn Lenore Mayton of Columbia, Jennifer Smith of Sedalia, MO, and Amanda Sue (Ron) Finley of Gilson, IL, and Elizabeth of Galesburg, IL; sons: Charles II (Cindy) Bushnell of Camdenton, MO and Michael (Melissa) Bushnell of Galesburg, IL; brother: Michael (Selena) Hodge of WV; sisters: Joyce (Lonnie) Bennett of Columbia, and Lola Jean (James) Tate of Virginia; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Jasmine Smith.
