Angelien (Bonds) Wood
January 30, 1944 ~ February 5, 2022 (age 78)
Angelien passed away peacefully at the young age of 78. She was a true fighter. She survived breast cancer but lost her long hard battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Thomas M. Wood, III. She was also preceded in death by her parents, M.D. and Clyde Smith Bonds, her brother, Ramey Bonds and her sister, Brenda B. Monk.
Survivors include her sister, Danna B. Mason (Richard), her sons, Terry Thomason and Chuck Thomason (Nancy). Her stepdaughters, Laurie Wood Henderson and Angela Wood Hughes. She was the best Nana to her only grandson, Justin Thomason. She is also survived by many other extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
The family will have a private graveside service at 3 o’clock on February 8th at First Christian Church Cemetery in Valhermoso Springs.
In lieu of flowers, family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Community Action Agency of North Alabama, Southern Care New Beacon Hospice of Vestavia Hills, AL, and most importantly any research for Alzheimer’s Disease.
