Angela Sue Emerson Bryant, 61, resident of Athens, AL, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Born August 2, 1963 in Jackson, MS, she was the daughter of the late Billie Joe Emerson and the late Bessie Lee Slaughter Emerson. On February 5, 1981 she married Howard Lawson Bryant, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2015.
Survivors include her sons, Stanley Emerson (Amy Simmons), Jimmy Bryant, and Billy Bryant; daughter, Angela M. (Kenny) Holden; grandchildren, Savannah Emerson, Astin Wilson, Tristin Bryant, Jessie Bryant, Adalyn Bryant, Sarena Holden, and Roy Holden; great-grandchildren, Serenity Mangrum and Amora Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Emerson, Jimmy Bryant, Jim Cates, Dewayne Cates, Kenny Holden, and Bobby Hill.
