Angela R. Sanders Pair, age 91, of Empire/ Harmony Community passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2025. She was born May 16, 1934, on a farm near the Blount–Walker County line. Angela attended schools at Red Hill and Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin (Bud) Pair parents, D. Hobert Sanders and Jesse Whitley Sanders; brothers Cecil, Buddy, and Eugene Sanders; and sisters Lillian Parker, Roberta Hardin, Ruth Spradlin, Doris Parks, Joyce Manning, and Pellie Springer.
Angela is survived by her devoted daughter, Donna Shubert (Jason); beloved grandchildren, Josh (Bailey) Shubert and Jessie Shubert; siblings Ruby Sims and Bill Sanders; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Angela had a gift for cooking, and her kitchen was always a place of warmth, love, and plenty of good food. Her greatest joy in life was raising and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was a strong, independent woman who lived with resilience, faith, and love for her family.
Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
