Angie grew up in the St. Florian community and was an active part of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She was a 1953 graduate of Coffee High School. Angie publicly professed her faith in Jesus and became a member of York Terrace Baptist Church (now York Bluff Baptist Church) in 1963. She worked devotedly in the church nursery for over fifty years, serving much of the time as the nursery coordinator. She served many years as the church hostess, as the Sunday School secretary, on the benevolence committee, in the adult choir, and early on as the girls’ softball coach. She hosted the monthly Woman’s Missionary Union meetings at her home for several years. She, also, enjoyed worshipping at Fern Creek Baptist Church and participating in senior adult trips and activities while in Louisville.

Angie loved the outdoors, especially taking care of flowers and birds. She greatly enjoyed family vacations and her trips to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Miller Barnes, Sr,; parents, Louis Casper and Mary Bernardina Kobus Haeger; brothers, Andrew Haeger, Conrad Haeger, Norman Haeger, and Paul Haeger; sisters, Leona Blackburn, Marie Nyberg, and Lavine Gresham.
