Angela Darlene Whitt League Stuart, 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, formally of Ardmore, passed away on Saturday, May 03, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was born on February 7, 1940, in Ardmore, Tennessee to the late Mr. Austin L. Whitt and Mrs. Ruth Whitt Whitt.
She was a funeral director and manager of Ardmore Funeral Home and a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church. Her most outstanding attribute was her love. She loved unconditionally and without regret. She believed mercy, forgiveness, and compassion cannot exist in such abundance that we may take these for granted. We must always seek to understand and be slow to condemn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Donald “Freck” League, her second husband, Woodrow “Woody” Stuart, one sister, Bette Whitt Ellett, as well as one nephew, Allen Whitt Ellett.
She is survived by her two daughters; Donna League Reid and Stefanie League, three grandchildren: Whittney Darlene Garrison, A. Logan Garrison, Arlys Austin League, one great-grandchild, Lilly Cooper Ming, one nephew, Kenneth W. (Joy) Ellett, as well as a host of great Nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, AL, beginning at 7:00 PM with Rev. Debbie Eubanks officiating.
In Lieu of flowers the family would request that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
