Andrew Gilliam, 27, of Decatur, passed away on January 4, 2023. His visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7 from 5-7 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with Celebration of Life to follow at 7 PM with Bro. Joe McKaig and Bro. Seth Keenum officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Gilliam, parents Jeff and Terri Gilliam; brother Timothy Gilliam, grandmother Anita Williams; uncles James Williams, JR. (Jannine), David Williams (Tammy); aunt Sandy Williams, honorary aunt Chris Anuszewski, grandfather Jimmy C. Gilliam; aunts Jonna Hartman (Vic), Lisa Brennan (Austin), cousins Katie Parnell, Luke Brennan, and Shannon Dauphin (Andrew).
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmother Janice Gilliam, grandfather James C. Williams, Sr., and cousin Ethan Williams.
Andrew was a man of a few words but his life spoke volumes and impacted many. Andrew put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was a member of Decatur Baptist Church where he faithfully served.
Andrew graduated from Austin High School. He attended the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa where he earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Andrew was employed by Qualis Corporation as a Valve Design Specialist. His dream since middle school was to work in the space field.
Andrew met his precious wife Robin at Decatur Baptist Church. Andrew and Robin where married on February 13, 2021.
Memorial may be made to Decatur Baptist Church for the Andrew Jeffrey Gilliam Memorial Scholarship Fund for graduates of Austin High School going into Engineering
