FLORENCE-Florence Restaurant Week was held from October 21 – 30, as a promotion to showcase the excellent independently owned and operated dining options available in downtown Florence. Thirteen restaurants participated in Florence Restaurant Week. To add an extra incentive to dine in the participating restaurants, local charities were nominated to be included on a ballot, where diners could vote for them to receive a $5000 check.
Florence Restaurant Week has come to an end and now it’s time to see who’s won. Presenting Sponsor McDaniel Window and Door presented the $5000 grand prize check to the First Place Charity Winner Room In the Inn who received the most votes from diners during Florence Restaurant Week. Second Place Charity Winner was Sidney’s Safe Foundation, $2000 sponsored by Alabama Outdoors.
Best Dish was a tie between Rivertown Coffee and Woodpecker Cafe.
And the winner is…..for the most favorite of restaurants …drum roll please…. the Pie Factory for the second year running.
