MUSCLE SHOALS & PHIL CAMPBELL – Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) student Analise Arrington, of Collinwood, Tenn., has been named a 2025 New Century Workforce Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Only one New Century Workforce Scholar is selected from each state.
This scholarship is the first of its kind to support students at associate degree-granting institutions on a national scale as they plan to enter the workforce upon the completion of a degree or certificate. The program is sponsored by The Coca-Cola Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Arrington is a sophomore student at NWSCC and currently enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. According to Arrington, she plans to graduate in December and pursue a career in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
“I am incredibly honored to be named a 2025 New Century Workforce Scholar,” said Arrington. “This scholarship not only alleviates financial stress but also empowers me to focus on my studies in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. It represents a significant step towards achieving my goal of entering the workforce as a skilled professional in Diagnostic Ultrasound. I’m grateful to The Coca-Cola Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for their support in helping students like me succeed.”
New Century Workforce Scholars are selected based on the score they earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which nearly 2,100 applications were received.
Arrington will be recognized at an event during the Association of Community College Trustees’ Leadership Congress in October in New Orleans, Louisiana.
