Funeral Service for Amy McCutcheon McGowan, age 41 of Hartselle, will be Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wren with Rev. Randy Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1:00pm till service time on Sunday at the Church.
Amy passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, She was born April 25, 1975 in Hartselle to Willard and Frances McCutcheon. Amy attended Sparkman School and Falkville High School.
She attended Calhoun Community College and Wallace State University.
Amy was employed at NASA since1994 as a Management Support Assistant for the Flight
Mechanics and Analysis Division in building 4600 and was a member of the “American Federation
of Government Employees”.
She was a kind and wonderful Christian. She kept her prayer book close even in the hospital.
Amy and Brandon attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wren where they were actively involved in the deaf ministry.
Amy enjoyed the Christmas holidays and decorating her home and was an avid Auburn fan.
She loved children, especially her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Allan McCutcheon
Amy is survived by her husband, whom she married September 20, 1997:

Pallbearers will be Tyler Grantland, Lane Grantland, Tyler Fortenberry, Jason McCutcheon, David Grantland, cousins, Joseph, Patrick and Jeremy.
