Notice for Amos "Max" Maxwell Clark Amos Maxwell “Max” Clark, 94, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home in Tremont. He was born April 15, 1930, in Tremont, to Thomas Phelan and Botie Harbor Clark. He was a United States Veteran, serving in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He was retired from Outboard Marine Corporation in Waukegan, Illinois, where he was a Design and Development Lab Technician. He was the designer and owner of six boat motor patents. He left Itawamba County in 1948, and he moved back in 1992 to his old home place in Tremont. He was accomplished in archery and bowling. He enjoyed gardening and his flowers.

Services will be private.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Scott of Russellville, AL, and Kim Poores of Vina, AL; one son, Danny Clark of Racine, Wisconsin; his caregiver and grandson, Joshua Clark, and thirteen other grandchildren, Josh Clark, Jacob Scott, Jared Scott, Missy Scott, Jeromy Scott, Travis Lanctot, Tasha Kelton, Heather Pounds, Kayla Lanctot, Casey Poores, Carrie Ann Clark, Katie Marie Clark, and Nichole Clark; great grandchildren, K.J. “Katie Jo”, Sara Katherine, Atley, Anniston, Aleghia, Akeria, Cody, Gabby, Bryson, and several more.

He was preceded in death one son, Randy Clark; one sister, Myrlene Fox; one brother, Eugene Clark; and his parents.
