Amber Denise Herban, 46, on June 14th, 2023, shed her earthly pain and made a graceful exit, surrounded by those she loved and cared for all her life.
After passing, the rain filled day parted with but a sprinkle and a rainbow appeared from amongst the clouds telling her friends and family that she made it home safe and sound.
Born October 29th, 1976, to Charlotte Ann Wallace, her loving mother and best friend, Amber lived her rambunctious young life in Sheffield, AL with her two siblings Larry and Crystal, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.
Amber loved helping people and quickly found a passion for nursing, she worked as a nurse’s aide for over thirty years working in a wide variety of places. Every person she met in her time loved and admired her. She brought many smiles and laughs wherever she was.
Amber had one child Dustin, who she loved more than anything and worked hard her whole life to give everything she could.
In 2022 after finding out she was having a grandchild named Isabella she dedicated her time to finding anything and everything she could get for her little Izzy.
In 2014, Amber married Mark Herban merging their family’s together and gaining what she loved to call her “Bonus Children,” Shelby, Austin, and Collin.
Amber and Mark traveled all around the map together, they were the perfect team, holding each other up as they fought through life. A better match could not be found.
Amber was the brightest star that anyone could have ever met, her warmth and love could be felt in a mere passing. She was loved by all and loved all. She was funny, kind, and always tried to keep a positive outlook no matter how bleak the situation. She will be missed every second and every minute by all those that knew her. But if her story should say anything it is that you should always keep looking forward and lead with love.
Today and forever, she flies free.
She will be sorely missed and survived by her Husband, Mark Herban; Son, Dustin Wood (Bella); Bonus Children, Shelby Herban, Austin Herban, and Collin Herban (Candice); Mother, Charlotte Wallace; Brother, Larry Benson (Samantha); Sister, Crystal James (Terry); Grandchildren, Isabella Wood and Devin Reeves; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
There will be a celebration of life held at McFarland Park on July 2nd, 2023, at pavilion 1, 5 to 8 p.m.
Special thanks to Affinity Hospice, especially Crystal, Victoria, and Leca.
