Amanda "Mandy" Danielle Willis It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amanda Willis at age 52. Born September 29, 1972, she passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on October 8, 2024.

Amanda was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who always put her family first. She was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those she cherished. Preceded in death by her grandmother, Ila Hipp Plunkett; grandfather, Jack Hipp; step-father, Archibald Kinney; father, Danny Hornsby; and father-in-law, Windell “Pete” Willis. Amanda will forever be remembered by her surviving family: her loving husband, James Willis; their children and daughter-in-law, Hannah Willis, Harley and Claire Willis; mother, Barbara Kinney; mother-in-law, Willie Willis; nieces and nephews, Kaleigha Fitch, Seth Moore, Ezra Cramer, Sydney Langley, Kaylynn Willis; and best friend Amelia Norris.

Amanda had a deep passion for antiques and was an avid treasure hunter at yard sales and flea markets. She had a special talent for “picking,” finding beauty and value in forgotten items, and breathing new life into them. Her home was filled with these unique finds, each piece telling a story. Whether it was a dusty heirloom or a quirky trinket, Amanda’s eye for detail and her joy in discovery were unmatched.

This quality didn’t stop at antiques as she was always looking for the beauty and value in people and would stop at nothing to show them. Amanda’s warmth, humor, and caring spirit touched the lives of many, and her presence will live on through the ones that she loved.

A visitation service will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on October 10 at 5:00 pm for family, and 6:00-8:00 pm for the public. A funeral service will be held on October 11 at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. She will be escorted to her resting place by Jason Willis, Chadwick Motte, Steve Rutherford, Johnny Rutherford, Scott Haga, and Cody Cornelius with honorary Pallbearers, Ezra Cramer and Bill Rutherford.
