Alvin McKnight, age 82, went to be with his Lord surrounded by family Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Alvin was born in Perry County Tennessee to the late Albert and Millie McKnight on December 1, 1937. He grew up in Perry County and immediately went to work at the age of 18. His first job was filling up boats with fuel at Old Hickory lake, then he worked in construction for over 30 years finally retiring from Odum Brothers Construction. At the age of 29 Alvin married the love of his life Reba Faulkner McKnight and raised 3 children together. He was an incredibly hard working man with a strong character. He had a strong faith. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Reba McKnight; children: Sandra and Kay; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Alvin is preceded in death by his son Jerry Durham.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
