Alvin David Simpson, age 92 of Riverview, Florida, formerly of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 10:30AM on Saturday, June 19th, with Bro. Johnny Trail officiating. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville at 1:00PM with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 18th from 5-7PM and again on Saturday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 10:30AM.
Mr. Simpson was born October 22, 1928 in Manchester, Tennessee to the late Isacc & Lucy Stiles Simpson He was retired from Kusan Plastics and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a former member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Simpson; nine siblings; and four step-children.
Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth Simpson; sons, Joe and James Simpson; step- daughter, Pam (Rusty) Ferrell; step-son, Gary (Susan) Groves; and numerous grandchildren & great -grandchildren.
