Alva Mae Jamerson – Obituary

Alva Mae Jamerson, 79, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born May 16, 1933 in Tishomingo County, Ms. and had been an employee of Blue Bell. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 18, at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Golden, Ms. with Bro. Donnie Riley  officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are three daughters – Betty Pharr (Randy Warren), Wanda Pharr (Dennis) and Brenda Williams (Steve Ramey) all of Golden, Ms.; two brothers – Joe Whitehead (Cleatus) and S.Q. Whitehead; one sister – Inez Taylor (Junior); five grandchildren – Davey Pharr (Jana), Christy Pharr, Dwana Sides (Brian), Cassondra Pharr and Emily Pharr; six great-grandchildren – Jody, Hannah, Austin, Breana, Keira and Braylon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Junior Jamerson, her parents, Joseph Edgar Whitehead and Rosie Anna Ivy Whitehead and her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 18, at Old Bethel United Methodist Church and continue until service time on Friday.
