Aluvrene Burnett, age 106 of Danville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 7, 1919 to John Ed and Maggie Osborn. Whether you knew her as “Great Maw Maw”, “Old Maw Maw”, “Aunt Rene” or “Rene”, you knew Aluvrene was definitely one of a kind (like her name). During World War II, Aluvrene worked in a Decatur munitions plant. She was a hard-working homemaker who enjoyed word finds, quilting, knitting, and traveling- especially to the “Great Smoky Mountains”. Aluvrene attended Lindsey Hall Holy Church of Christ. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. at Moulton Heritage Funeral Home (Formerly Elliott Brown Service), where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Center Cemetery in Danville. Brother Roger Aldridge and Brother Mike Jackson will officiate. Pallbearers will be John Burnett, Nathan Wesley, James D. Burnett, Ricky England, Ray England, Carl England, and Gary England. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Burnett, Thomas Burnett, Braxton Burnett, Harlon Wesley, and Darren James. Aluvrene is survived by her son, Ralph (Marynell) Burnett of Moulton; daughter, Jo Ann (James) Archer of Danville; four grandchildren, Anthony (Suzanne) Burnett, John Wesley (Monica) Burnett, Cynthia (Nathan) Wesley, and Rachel (Darren) James; nine great grandchildren; one great grandchild; and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Burnett; son, Wayne Burnett; parents, John Ed and Maggie Little Osborn; brothers, Ammon Osborn and Hubert Osborn; sisters, Imogene Osborn (James) Singleton and Annie Osborn (Clyde) Northcutt; and grandson, James Lee Archer.
