Alton Ray Brooks Sr., 68, of Tuscumbia, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, September 8th, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral will be Saturday, September 9th, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Greg Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents, Junnie and William Curtis Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Brooks; children, Tempie Brooks, Alton Ray Brooks Jr. (Becky), Michelle Brooks, Sean Tidwell (Miranda), Jeremy Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Kenzie Howard, and Ryan Rikard; brothers, Ernest Brooks (Ann), Harold L. Brooks (Kathy), Rayburn W. Brooks (Barbie), Jimmy D. Brooks, and Tony L. Brooks (Melanie); sisters, Kathleen Brooks, Janie Despigno, and Karen Hodge; grandchildren, Haley, Hilary, Ethan, Abagail, Mia, Haven, Cameron, Braylon, Serinity, Collin, Mckayla, Bella, Wyatt, and Rylan; great-grandchild, Brooks; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Rikard, Josh Brooks, Jerry Howard, James Matthews, Shane Alison, Curt Brooks, Michael Foster, Logan Ayers, and Jared Waller.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Keller Landing, Amedysis home health care, and Helen Keller ICU nurses in their time of need to keep Alton comfortable.
