Althea Quick Nicholson, 91, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Frederick Ray Nicholson, Jr.; parents, Millard and Mae Quick and grandson, William ‘Bill’ Meador.
Survivors include children, Freddia Scott (James Kenneth) of Huntsville, Theresa Nicholson of Huntsville, Ray Nicholson of Fort Morgan; and Jimmy Nicholson (Rox Anne) of Fairhope; grandchildren, Michael Ann Morrow of Huntsville, Jamie Scott (Jeanie) of Helena, Jonathan Scott (Amy) of Huntsville, Emily Nicholson of Fairhope; Justin Nicholson (Britni) of Tuscaloosa, and Ann Meador of Pensacola, FL; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, June Coppack of Rainbow City; and brother, Quinn Quick (Glenda) of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at Latham United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Hughey Reynolds and Traci Loveman officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery with Chris Martin officiating. (www.laughlinservice.com)
