Almon Dale “PooBear” Haraway, 62, of Rogersville, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at his residence. He was a member of IBEW 558, Sheffield, for over 40 years, Rogersville United Methodist Church, and had a love for hunting.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Reverend William Smith officiating. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Cornelius, Jamie Cornelius, Cecil Haraway, David Haraway, Bobby Haraway, and Terry Haraway.
Mr. Haraway was preceded in death by his parents, Almon Clay and Martha Nell Haraway, brother, Ricky Clay Haraway, and niece, Kayleigh Mojica. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Haraway; sister, Kay (Ingram) Cornelius; nephews, Jeffery (Jennifer) Cornelius and Jamie (Melissa) Cornelius; niece, DeShawn (George) Mojica; great-nieces, Kaitlin, Karley, Kenzie, Sarahann, Sydney, and Aaliyah; and special cousin whom he loved as a son, Michael (Suzanne) Haraway, and their children, Emily, Britton, and Myca.
