Alma L. Hopper*ö3(EJAlma Lee Melson Hopper departed this life on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the age of 85 years and 2 months.

She was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee on June 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Dewey Hopson and Lula Lee Shubert Melson. Alma Lee had worked for Angelica for 30 years and for Shell Street Button Factory. She loved gardening, sewing, and crafts. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

Alma is survived by her sons, Billy Hopper and Steve Hopper both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Rodney Hopper, Melissa Moffett, Jennifer Perryman, Wes McCranie, Shelby McCranie, and Lacy McCranie; great grandchildren, Peyton Hopper, Abbigail Hopper, Kelsie Moffett, David Perryman, Mason Perryman, and Cruz McCranie; great-great grandchildren, Christopher Moffett and Kalin Moffett; siblings, Evelyn Chaulk of Crump, Tennessee, Lula Mae Ray and husband, Max, of Millington, Tennessee, Tommy Jack Melson of Savannah, Tennessee, Milton Lee Melson and wife, Vicki, of Clifton, Tennessee, and Linda Gail Kious of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Harold Hopper; grandchildren, Kala Lashay Hopper and Joseph Lee Kirk; brothers, Ledford Melson and Benton Edward Melson.
