• On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, our beloved Alma Jo Green peacefully passed away at the age of 88. Known and cherished by so many simply as “Maw,” she lived a life full of love, grace, and unwavering kindness.

• A devoted wife to Teddy Lee Green Sr and mother, Maw raised four children: Ted, Denise, Tawanna, and Tim. Her family was her heart, and that love only grew as she welcomed Cynthia(Ted), Ron (Denise), and LeAnn (Tim) into the family and then was overwhelmed with joy with the addition of seven grandchildren — Morgan, Will, Mason(Myka), Laura(Alan), Olivia (David), Shelby, and Nicholas(Macie) — and later three great-grandchildren: Tawnee, Oliver, and Jack. Maw was gifted a special friend who became part of the family and cherished her days out on the town with Susan Sutton. She was also survived by her brothers and sisters, Sue and Donny Walker and Joyce and Jerry Hendrix. Each of them was the light of her life, and she poured her love into every moment she spent with them.

• Maw’s care and warmth extended far beyond her family. She adored her church family and found deep joy in her faith. One of her greatest passions was volunteering at Arab Primary School, where she served in the library for many years. To the children of Arab, she wasn’t just a volunteer — she was their Maw too. Her gentle presence and welcoming smile touched countless young lives, leaving a legacy of kindness that will live on for generations.

• Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Arab Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Nicky James, officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church, Burial to follow at Arab Memorial Cemetery, with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

• In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Arab Primary School’s library fund or books be bought in her honor.
