Alma Christine Pearsall, 86, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be at the First Missionary Baptist Church at 611 S. High St., Tuscumbia, Alabama, one hour prior to service on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the church. Reverend Otis B. Smith Jr. will be officiating. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Tuscumbia and a member of Alpha PI CHI National Sorority, Inc. and CHI ETA PHI Sorority, Inc. Alma retired from Northwest Shoals Community College as a nursing instructor after 20 plus years of loyal service.

She was preceded in death by husband, Andrew J. Pearsall; daughter, Revonda C. Pearsall; and parents, Floyd and Nannie M. Byrd.

Survivors are son, Kenneth W. Pearsall; daughters, Teresa N. Pearsall and Debra A. Pearsall; grandchildren, Johnathan and Daphnee Pearsall, Fabian Robinson, and Shayla and Torrian Pearsall; great-grandson, Immanuel Robinson; sister, Georgia M. Obleton, of Columbus, Georgia; sisters-in -law, Ruthie P. Williams and Lucille P. Thomas, both of Los Angeles, California; honorary son, James Thompson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Brotherhood of First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Sisterhood of First Baptist Church and sorority sisters will serve as flower bearers.

Special thanks to full staff of Helen Keller Hospital for the love and care given to our dear mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trenholm High School Reunion Scholarship Fund.

Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
