January 8, 1968 – February 2, 2025

Born January 8, 1968, he passed peacefully on Feb 2nd 2025 due to complications of leukemia at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Known as Allen or Driftwood by many, he was a music lover and always looked for the silver lining.  Known for his gracious demeanor, he was a great conversationalist and a pleasure to spend time with.

The people who know him love him dearly and will miss him greatly.

Allen is preceded in death by his mother Regina Tutor Thompson and his father William Norris Thompson and an infant grandchild.  He is survived by his longtime girlfriend and partner Deena King of Mount Pleasant, MS, his brother William Thompson of Collierville, TN, his daughter Celeste Griffin of Pontotoc, MS, and his two bonus children Candie Miller (Tommy) and Justin Whitworth of Pontotoc, MS. He is survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the chapel pavilion at Oak Forest Cemetery from 2 to 3:30 on Monday Feb 3rd and the funeral will be held afterwards at the graveside at 4pm. Family and friends are invited.
