Mr. Allen “Buddy” Thomas, age 91 of Cotaco, died Saturday December 14, 2013
Funeral will be Monday December 16, 2013 at Cotaco United Methodist Church at 1:00pm.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Church with Rev. John Smith and Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Red Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas was born June 14, 1922 in Morgan County Alabama to James Worth Thomas and Bernice Prince Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2- brothers Glyn and Bill Thomas and 1 Sister Lucille Thomas.
He is survived by his wife Mary Nell Thomas
2 Sons-Larry Thomas (Linda) of Huntsville, Al.
Randy Thomas of Cotaco, Al.
1 Daughter- Shannon Stinson (Scotty) of Cotaco, Al.
5 Grandchildren- Jacob Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Hunter Stinson, Colton Stinson and Kyle Thomas.
4 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be- Hunter Stinson, Colton Stinson, Jake Thomas, Josh Thomas, Steve Edmonson and Kenneth Roberts.
Mr, Thomas was a WWII veteran, an avid Quail hunter, he loved Auburn football, loved woodworking and carpentry and was a farmer.
He was retired from Thiokol after 31 years as an Inspector.
He was a lifelong member of Cotaco United Methodist Church.
