Allan Christopher Longhi, 73 of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away on September 22, 2021. Al was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on August 22, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Noella Longhi; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and Eugene Northcutt; brother-in-law, Ronnie Denman.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Longhi; daughters, Tabitha Knallay (Bill), Cathy Yager (Brian), Sabrina Longhi (Travis), Carrie Longhi (Justin); son, Jesse Longhi; grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Nikki and Mila Garza, Rosie Nelson, Isaac Knallay; brother, Fred Longhi (Vickie); sisters, Susan Rebillot (John), Madeleine Denman, Lorretta Bebermeyer (Joel).

Al served in the US Army 1972-1975, he attended Genesis United Methodist Church, graduated from the University of West Florida, and received his Master’s Degree from A & M University. He worked for the US Army and NASA, retiring from SMDC in 2003 after 27 years.

Al went above and beyond to help others any way he could. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed boating, camping and traveling.

You may visit with the family on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00am in Valhalla’s Chapel. Burial will be at Stateline Cemetery, Highway 231/431 N at the TN State line. Donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Al’s memory.
