Mrs. Alisa Houston BurrussAlisa Houston-Burruss (1966–2024), age 58, of Huntsville, AL, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend with a soul presence and aura that could lighten a room. She loved her kids, grandkids, siblings, and family with her whole heart. Known as “The Glue,” she kept everyone together! Selfless, kindhearted, and driven—three words that describe her—she will be truly missed and never forgotten. No more pain, suffering, or stress. Watch over us all in the afterlife just as you did in the present. We all know you’re yelling “Bingo” in heaven. Make sure to share your love and winnings with Robert Earl and Eralene Houston. Till we see you again.

A dedicated supervisor and Sauderer, Alisa worked for Boeing for the past five years. She was known for her love of Bingo.

Alisa is survived by her husband, Harold Burruss Sr.; children: Chad Houston, Marquez Pride, Harold Dewayne Burruss Jr., and DeAngelo Burruss; grandchildren: Chadsity Jones, Destiny Houston, DeMario Houston, and Mariah Houston; great-grandchildren: Zyion Jones and Zalen Jones; siblings: Joe Hayden (deceased),   Gloria Jean Hayden, Diane Houston (deceased), Linda Faye Hayden, Robert Earl Houston Jr., Greg Houston (Shaun), Gwendelyn Houston (Sweet Pea),  and her youngest brother,  Thomas Earl Houston, Walter Burruss, Maurice Burruss, Hershel Burruss (LaWanda; deceased), Barbarah Cole, Carol Burruss; special relatives nieces: Keisha Hayden-Tibbs (Tim), Chelisa Hayden-Anderson (Roddrick); nephew: Erin Kelly (Brittany); and a host of  other nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2024 Eagles’ Nest Ministries (6831 Hollow Road, Huntsville, AL 35810) at the with Minister Reggie Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mrs. Burruss will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
