aliceAlice Marie Armstrong Lanfair, 86 of Florence, passed away March 17, 2013 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, YMCA, Women’s Norfolk Southern Railroad Club, LifeWise, The Help Center, Red Cross Blood Drives, and Salvation Army.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. John McKell officiating. Burial will follow in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Lanfair was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Lanfair; sister, Mary Davis; brother, Cecil “Snooky” Armstrong.
She is survived by her son, Robert H. Lanfair (Beth) of Florence; daughter, Kathryne L. Brugge and Steve Brugge of Trussville; grandchildren, Kara McLain (Matt), Justin Lanfair (Katie), Krista Lanfair, Lauren Wells (Ryan), Eric Brugge (Brandi); great-grandchildren, Madeline and Lucy Wells; niece, Lynda Crosby (Dennis); nephews, Gerry Davis (Carolyne), Keith Davis; 23 great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Wells, Justin Lanfair, Matt McLain, Keith Davis, Gerry Davis, and Rob Lanfair.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Brugge, Steve Brugge, and Rev. Jim Thompson.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved life, doing things for other people, her church, and traveling to other countries.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
