Alice Mae McCaig, 88, Cherokee, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Billy George and Dwight Rivers officiating. No graveside service will be held.
Alice loved cooking, her precious family and her place of worship, Pride Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther McCaig Jr.
Alice is survived by her children, Steve McCaig (Margie), Frankie McCaig and Regina Watkins (Ricky); five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Michael McCaig, Landon Jones, Daryan McCaig, Adam Watkins, Jacob Watkins and Shane Dupuy. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Hayes.
