Our loving mother, Alice Ernestine Colburn, 83, Russellville, reached for the angels and to her husband, Jack E. Colburn on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Keller Landing Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Mother was an active member of the Jaycets, bowling team, and the Church of Christ. She worked for Bargain Town for 15 years as manager. She had many friends who loved her.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Colburn; mother, Jessie Ophelia Franks; father, Ernest Howell Davis; and brother, Bobby Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Diane Thomas (husband, Fred), Shelby Willis (husband, Richard); grandsons, Jonathan McKinney, Kyle Frederick (wife, Angie); great-grandsons, Conner Frederick, Sam McKinney; sister, Rosa Mae Kelly (husband, Phillip); brothers, Roy W. Davis (wife, Voncille), Johnny Davis (wife, Betty Ann); and a host of nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Cottage of the Shoals, Keller Landing, and Hospice of North Alabama who became our mother’s friends.
