Alice Elizabeth O’Donnell Shanklin, age 74 of Valley Head, passed away on April 22, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Shanklin was born on January 15, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to the late William & Willie Cornett O’Donnell. She served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Army and worked for Fruit of the Loom/Renfroe.
A private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Shanklin, Sr.; children, Jennifer Shanklin and wife, Terri Haynes, Thomas A. Shanklin, Jr. and wife, Tonya, and William T. Shanklin; brothers, William O’Donnell and Charles O’Donnell; grandchildren, Laura Haynes, Arden Shanklin, Jordan Haynes, Thomas August Shanklin, III, and Eli Shanklin; and Lifelong Army friends Lil Ecton, Pam Atkins, Lou Nichols and Kat Mutchler our family friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Francis Mickey; and granddaughter, Specialist Heather L. Haynes-Shanklin.

All of my Love and prayers go to Alice’s family and friends. I know she will be missed. I am happy she had her family with her. She will always be my BFF and I have so many fond memories from long ago. Love you guys!!!
