Alice E. Schier, 91, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. She was born and raised in Chicago, where she worked as a secretary and mother. After her and her husband’s retirement, they moved from Chicago to the Scottsboro Area.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Emil; and her son, Gary.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Barnes and husband, Donald, of Huntsville; and two grandchildren, Donny and Mary.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Stephen Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro.
