Alfred Talmadge Gravitt, age 86, Jasper, AL. formerly of Haleyville, AL. passed away Wednesday September 6, 2023. He was a retired machinist with Drummond Coal, was a member of Union 1288 District #20 for over 60 years and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday September 11, 2023 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel, with Bro. Terry Bendall officiating. Burial to follow in Macedonia Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Marshall Gravitt and Vicki Gravitt; sisters, Theresa Forster, Frances Hood, Joan (Dewey) Scott and Trudy (Dwight) Thomas; granddaughter, Wendy Odom; great grandchildren, Hannah Carden and Haley Davis; great great grandchild, Raelynn Carter; s host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his, parents, Hebert and Eunice Irene Gravitt; wife, Glenda Faye Gravitt, brother, Terry Wayne Gravitt.
