Alfred “Ray” Runions – Obituary

Alfred “Ray” Runions, 65, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Ray was born on February 27, 1951 to the late Walter Runions and Alberta Burlison Runions in Maury County. Ray has spent the last 42 years married to his wonderful wife, Stella McNabb Runions. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and a man who loved his family. Watching Westerns on TV was one thing he loved to do and back in his younger days he loved to hunt and fish. Ray worked for Menasha for 32 years before retiring from Mount Pleasant Insulation.

Funeral services for Ray will be conducted on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant at 10:00Am with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah cemetery. Ray’s family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife Ray is survived by his Sons, Raylon Nicholas (Stacy) Runions of Mount Pleasant and Jeremy Ray Runions of Mount Pleasant; Granddaughter, Morgan Nicole Renee Runions; Grandsons, Jacoby Nicholas Ray Runions and Justin Robert Williams; Great Granddaughter, Hazel Rai-Lynn Williams; Great Grandson, Samuel Oliver Williams; several nieces and nephews; Sisters, Delvene (David) Kennedy, Sue Powell, Marileen Anglin, Rachel (Charles) Taylor, Deborah Sims, and Annie (Danny) Dale; and Brothers, James ”Bud” Runions, Jerry “Bull” (Cathy) Runions, and Charles “Bubba” (Judy) Runions.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two Brothers in law, James Anglin and Leroy Powell; one niece and one nephew.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
