Alfred F. Marsili – Obituary

Alfred F. Marsili, 92, was born in Lynch, KY. As a World War II, he graduated from Lynch High School, went to IIT College, then worked at the University of Chicago with Enrico Fermi.

He was an Electrical Engineer who worked with several defense and NASA contractors along with being a civilian Army employee. Alfred was also involved in all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s various activities.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae; parents Liseno and Mary Marsili; two brothers, Joseph Marsili (Julia) and Augustine Marsili (Josephine); one sister, Sister Mary Lea, CDT; and brother-in-law Robert Broome.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Frances Broome; brother Frank Marsili (Rita); two sons, Robert Marsili (Bette) and William Marsili; daughter Deborah Marsili; four grandchildren: Larry Marsili (Amanda), Gina Henshaw, Kristina Cox (Chris), and Amanda Ragucci (Chris); and thirteen great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Alicia, Christopher, Maria, Jordan, Isabella, Zoe, Desmond, Anthony, Vincent, Carmella, Tabytha, and Cheyenne.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Bill Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
