Alexis Bernard Sales Lewis, was born on March 22,1963 in Limestone County, to the late Herbert Lee Lewis & Ida Bell Sales Lewis. He transitioned from this life on November 13, 2016, at Huntsville Hospital. Alexis was a born-again believer and an active member of Greater Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church of Huntsville, Alabama.
He graduated from Huntsville High School Class of 1981. For several years, he was an employee at Tech 21 as a Purchasing Engineer, and he later became a Million Dollar Salesperson as an Insurance Agent with Mutual Savings Insurance, until he was no longer able due to health issues.
If you could ask Alexis what his greatest rewards during his lifetime, he would say, serving people, his family, grandchildren and caring for his loved ones, especially his parents and loving sister Arnett.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Kameron Harper Sales Lewis; three sons, Jonathan Harper, Ezra Harper and Alexis Bernard Sales Lewis, Jr., all of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Tyrone Fletcher, Leon David Perry, Joshua Jeremiah Hayes, all of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Alvin Lewis of Huntsville, AL and Jeffery (Kimberly) Sales of Birmingham, AL; four sisters, Odessa Sales-Robinson of Hazel Green, AL, Alfreda Smith of Madison, AL, Lisa Johnson of Birmingham, AL and LaShun Sales of Huntsville, AL; two mothers-in-law, Agnes Harper and Bertha Harper both of Huntsville, AL; seven brothers-in-law, Bert Harper, Don Harper of Huntsville, AL, Sandy (Valerie) Moore of Madison, AL, John Rogers, Ken Hamilton of Huntsville, AL, Larry (Serena) Rogers all of Harvest, AL and Fred (Jennifer) Anderson of Decatur, AL; five sisters-in-law, Tara Harper, Deborah Jackson, Sequinthia Harper and Torwana (Jamara) Hill, all of Huntsville, AL; seven aunts, Ethel Dancy, Deloise Lewis, Sophia all of Huntsville, AL, Lela Ruth Bell of Athens, AL, Dorothy Sanders, Earnestine (Johnny) Harris and Loraine Glover, all of Triana, AL; three uncles, William Lewis of Huntsville, AL, Jack (Flora) Lewis and Joe Lewis, both of Madison, AL; as a sister, Ruby Lewis; five devoted friends (like brothers), Al Dancy, Demarco Sandifer, Tyrone Tuck, Chris Glover and Carl Lumbus; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Association Tabernacle (6378 Pulaski Pike NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Curtis Jordan, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. Lewis will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 and 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a. m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Royal Funeral Home.
