Aletha Hickman was born March 26, 1927 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Isaac Hardin and Jessie Jernigan Hardin. She departed this life on November 21, 2019 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 7 Months, 26 Days.
Mrs. Hickman was united in marriage to Joe Edward Hickman on September 5, 1942. Mr. Hickman preceded her in death on April 14, 1996. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer. She was a homemaker. Aletha enjoyed gardening, her flowers and shopping.
She is survived by a daughter, Edwina Reaves and husband Jim of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, John Ernest Hardin and wife Ramelle of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren: Randy Reaves, Joe Reaves, Cindy Wilkerson and Kim Mitchell; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by a son, Larry Joe Hickman, passed away on June 18, 1996; three brothers: Odell, Marvin and Marshall Hardin; two sisters, Virginia Price and Thelma Wilson.
