Funeral services for Alean Raburn Swann, age 86 of Falkville, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Cullman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Bro. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Mrs. Swann was born on January 11, 1930 to the late Hampton Harris Raburn & Linnie Mae Waters Raburn; and she passed away on December 23, 2016 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Julian “Cobb” Raburn; 3 – sisters, Louise Maze, Inez Nuss & Edna Morgan; 3 brothers, Archie Raburn, David Raburn & R.T. Raburn. Alean was a school teacher for 33 years, teaching in Arkadelphia, Cold Springs & Vinemont. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Alacare Hospice and also to Nancy Clark a very special caregiver.
Survivors include, Daughter – Rebekah (Rodney) Harding; 3 – Sons – Gregory (Debra) Swann, Mark (Peggy) Swann & Myles (Elaina) Swann; Sister – Irene Stanfield; 2 – Brothers – Dwight Raburn & Michael Raburn; 8 – Grandchildren – Julian, Duffy, Laura, Benjamin, Alissa, Alexa & Heather Swann & Kaitlin Harding; 4 – Great-Grandchildren – Hannah, Clara, Lucas & Lidee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
