MADISON COUNTY – On Thursday, Sept. 14, at the request of the Huntsville Police Department, Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) launched an investigation into an officer-involved shooting involving the Huntsville Police Department. The incident occurred near the 500 Block of Monroe Street in Huntsville. Upon arrival, officers with the Huntsville Police Department encountered Sterling Keyon Arnold, 43, who was in possession of a handgun. During the incident, Arnold was shot and later pronounced deceased. No officers were injured over the course of the incident. ~ Alabama Law Enforcement Agency
Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing. Once complete, the findings will be turned over to the Madison County District Attorney’s Office.
Huntsville Police responded to a call around 6:00PM on MOnroe Street on Thursday, September 14. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said officers with HPD encountered Sterling Keyon Arnold, 43, who was in possession of a handgun.
