ALEA Gives Name Of May 7 Traffic Fatality In Lawrence County

MOULTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports an update on a traffic fatality that took place in Lawrence County on May 7:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, has claimed the life of a Moulton man.

Samuel B. Heflin, 27, of Moulton, was fatally injured when the 2014 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree, and then caught fire. Heflin’s body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science (ADFS), where his identity was later confirmed.

 

The crash occurred on Lawrence County 55 near Lawrence County 460, approximately six miles west of Moulton, in Lawrence County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
