Albert Gerald “Jerry” Hodge, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home.
A native of Middleton, he was the son of the late W. W. and Lilly Flora Herrington Hodge. As a young man, he left Hardeman County and joined the United States Air Force. While in service, he was stationed for a time in England and Turkey, working as an aircraft mechanic.
He married the former Carolyn Lax on May 21, 1961 and they were married 58 years at his passing. Mr. Hodge was retired maintenance manager for Ozark Motor Lines and, in his leisure time, enjoyed working on computers and teaching his grandsons to maintain and fix their cars. He had lived the last 23 years in Olive Branch, MS.
He leaves as his survivors, his wife, Carolyn Hodge of Olive Branch; his son, Gerald Wayne Hodge and wife, Jennifer, of Olive Branch; his two grandsons, Nathan and Zachary Hodge, also of Olive Branch; his brother, Larry Hodge and wife, Phyllis, of Clifton, TN; and two nephews, Billy Hodge and wife, Kristi, and Ben Hodge, all of Nashville.
