Mr. Alan Scott Newman, Sr. age 80, of the West Point Community of Morgan County passed away on November 19, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Newman was born on August 17, 1938 in Morgan County to Charles David Newman & Carmel Mae King Newman. In his younger years Mr. Newman enjoyed baseball and softball, in his past time he would fish and watch his tv programs.
He is a member of West Point Baptist Church in Morgan County.
Mr. Newman is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eula Belle Allred Newman; brothers, Grafton Newman, Nathan Newman; sisters, Monethia Jarvis, Willie Ruth Bishop, Jenny Thompson. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Aubrey Newman; sister, Carolyn Newman.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel with Bro.Harry Saint & Bro. Daivid Mangum, officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Morgan County with Brindlee Mtn Chapel & Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include, Nathan Newman, David Newman, Joey Bishop, Joe Alverson, Christopher Newman & Charles Newman.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel.
