A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Nebo Cemetery with Phil Mash officiating.

Born October 8, 1982, in Tullahoma, TN, Alan was the son of Barbara Sue Hight Bridges and the late Alec F. Bridges. Alan was a 2001 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He attended Columbia State Community College for two years before earning certifications in Welding and Machine Tool Technology from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT). He was employed as a machinist and welder with Lewis County Machine in Hohenwald.

Alan enjoyed shooting, novice gunsmithing, gaming, fishing, and creating metal artwork. He also had a deep love for music and was a remarkably gifted musician who could often play songs by ear. He played several instruments, including the guitar, piano, and French horn, among others. He was especially fond of animals and dearly loved his pit bull puppy, Yoda. He will be remembered for his mechanical talents, creative spirit, generous heart, and the friendships he built with those who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Sue Bridges, Alan is survived by his sisters, Susan (Steven) Sherman and Mary Ruth (Joey) Cromer; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Alan’s friends and co-workers in Hohenwald for their friendship, kindness, and support.
