Alan Dale Herald, 57 of Dora, passed away Tuesday December 30, 2019. He was a Sargent with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid Alabama football fan. Two of his loves in life were horseback riding and shooting guns.
Funeral services will be Saturday January 4, 2019 at 1200 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lloyd Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L C and Kathryn Herald.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Herald; daughter, Destinee Carey and husband Seth; son, Dexter Herald; grandson, Ayden; brother, Wade Herald and wife Carol; several other relatives and many friends.
